Hi, and welcome to the Pack 511 Cub Scout website. Pack 511 is chartered by the Lutheran Church of Hope in Broomfield, Colorado, and we are part of the Gateway District in the Denver Area Council. Our Pack has approximately 85 boys. We are fortunate to have dedicated volunteers to help our boys grow and experience all that Cub Scouts has to offer. We offer a wide variety of activities for the boys and their families.

Our formal year begins in August with the Pack Splash, a wild and crazy time with water guns and just about anything you can get your hands on to get each other and the Pack Adult Leaders soaked. The Pack Splash is an event for current Scouts and an event for the community to introduce them to Scouting and Pack 511. In May, we have another recruiting event, the Rocket Launch.  At the Rocket Launch the boys and new recruits are given rockets and fuel to launch their rockets way up into the sky from our very own Pack 511 Rocket Launch pad. These two events are very memorable experiences for all of our boys.

We have lots of other Pack activities, such as:

• Popcorn Sales - Pack 511 was the #1 selling pack for the Denver Area Council in 2002. We raised over $28,000.  And, each year, every boy that sells over $1000 gets to humiliate the Cub Master at our Popcorn celebration Pack meeting. Last year he got pie in the face. This year he got tapioca pudding poured over his head. Who knows what crazy idea we will come up with for next year.
• Rock Climb - To the best of our knowledge, Pack 511 is the only Pack in the Denver Area Council to offer a Rock Climb. This is an experience that most boys never forget and they come back each year wanting to do more difficult climbs.

We have our Pack meetings on the third Thursday of each month throughout the school year where we have fun and award the boys for their accomplishments throughout the year.

Our Pack has ten Dens and each Den meets at least once per month to work on achievements and to have fun.
